Portraits Vol. 1

Words can't fully express just how happy I am with how my first shoot turned out. I was so nervous about the entire thing but having Jenn and Robert as my first set of models was such a blessing. They were so cooperative and creative. I've always been in awe of their taste in fashion, so I left them to decide the style they wanted to go for. All I really had to do was take the photos. Jenn and Robert were both naturals and so fun to work with.

We shot in two places--the Midtown Inn Diner in Ermita and an alley beside Robinsons Place Manila. Although it wasn't planned, the more dramatic shots were taken in the diner. We took advantage of the amazing lighting and the 1950s aesthetic of the place. When we finished shooting in the diner, we moved to a nearby alley beside Robinsons. The brick wall along the alley was the perfect canvas for Jenn and Robert. It was a simple but effective background in keeping Jenn and Robert the focus of the shots.

Jenn and Robert, I'm beyond grateful for the two of you. Thank you for being such great models. You two are fashion queens that inspire me beyond words. I had so much fun working with the two of you. Let's do it again soon!
