April Favourites 2016

Today I will be talking about all of the things that I enjoyed during the month of April. I have quite a few on the list so let's get started!

New Glasses

I got new glasses last April because I've been using my old ones for three years now and they are starting to wear out. Initially, I was skeptical about getting this particular set of glasses because I wasn't sure if was going to like the colour of the frames on me. As soon as I put the glasses on though, I found myself loving them. The frames give off this vintage, hipster feels that I am so in love with. It's matches a lot of my outfits and I'm just so pleased about it.

Blue A5 Limelight Notebook

I've been using this notebook to keep my thoughts and ideas and I have just been loving it. The paper is smooth and thick enough so that ink won't blot on the pages. It has a nice, blue, matte cover that I appreciate about it. Seeing how good this notebook was, I was expecting that it would be expensive. Naturally, I was hesitant to buy it but then I saw that it was being sold at P200. That was the deal breaker for me. It might be one of the best purchases I've made in my life.

Twinning's English Breakfast Tea

Because of my hyperacidity and issues with drinking sweet drinks because of my throat, I had to sadly find an alternative to my one true bae, coffee. I feel so bad but I've been drinking tea more and more and I have been enjoying it. I don't drink it all the time but when I do, I just have a good time. Caffeine works just like coffee so that works for me. The tea tastes much more soothing than coffee though. It's like a warm hug or cuddle from a newly ironed blanket. Add a little milk and two teaspoons of brown sugar (looking for an alternative to that too) and it's just amazing. I recommend this with a warm slice of banana bread or french toast!

Marshall Headphones Major

I got new headphones this past month because my gaming headphones were just too big and heavy for me. Having it on for long periods of time also hurt my ears so I decided to look for headphones that produced good quality sound, had comfortable ear muffs, and fit nicely on my head. The Marshall Headphones Major were exactly that and I'm so happy with it. While it is a bit pricey, I will say that the quality of the sound you get is amazing and worth the money. It also has an adapter that you can connect to the headphones so that you can plug them into an instrument like a keyboard, which is what I've been doing. The headphones are so simple but do its job so well, and I think that's what I like about it most. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for good quality headphones!

Pinterest

I am so late to the party with Pinterest. I only started using it last April and I regret not doing it any sooner. It's such an amazing source of outfit ideas, recipes, and DIYs. It personally feels like a super organized Tumblr! I personally use it for blog and outfit ideas.

Online Window Shopping

Last April, I found out that I actually enjoy online window shopping. It's like window shopping but at the websites of the stores I frequent or have items that I love. The sites that I have been visiting quite often are Topman, River Island, and Zara. They just have really nice clothes that I wish I had the money to buy. Online window shopping is such a fun way to pass time except for the part where you wish you had the money to buy the items that'll forever stay in your cart. If you want to go window shopping but you're too tired to go out, go try out online window shopping. I cannot guarantee though that online window shopping will not turn into online shopping. Online window shop at your own discretion.

Amazing Race

I will admit that the only reason why I'm watching this season of the Amazing Race is because Tyler Oakley and his best friend, Korey Kuhl, are competing. However, throughout the course of the race, I found myself loving the show itself. Travelling the world and doing all these challenges that immerse you in the culture of the countries you visit is such a great way to race. I'll definitely be watching the succeeding seasons of the Amazing Race even after Tyler and Korey's season is finished. If you're looking for a different show to watch, I would definitely suggest the Amazing Race!

"It's Kind of a Funny Story" by Ned Vizzini

I've actually had this on my shelf for quite some time but I haven't really gotten to reading it yet until last April. I've only read one-third of the book and I'm already so happy with it. The story is so genuine and realistic. It makes me so happy that it tackles mental health issues, struggles of teenagers who suffer from mental disorders, and how people who do suffer with it cope. If you're looking for a book to read, I'm recommending this!

Those are all my favourites from the month of April! I know this post was really late and I'm really sorry about that. I was busy this past month, but I have been writing a lot of blog posts and taking lots of photos. I have a lot coming up soon so stay tuned! The links to some of the favourites that I mentioned will be below as usual. I hope you all enjoyed this one and I'll see you soon!

Until Next Time!

Retreat

It's been more than a month now since my batch graduated from high school so I thought it'd be a (sort of) good idea to post some of the pictures that I got from retreat.

The past four years have been amazing and I can't thank God enough for placing me in this particular batch and allowing me to meet some of the best people in the world. To have been welcomed with so much warmth was such a blessing when I first came to ICS as a new student. To have not only grown physically and spiritually but too also see how others have grown too makes me smile and feel happy about the past four years. I only noticed in our last two plays how well we actually set up our sets together. It wasn't as smooth as we hoped it would be probably because of all the emotions, but looking back now, I can say we work well as a batch. I'm proud to be a part of Batch 2016. We've gone through so much together especially those who have been here longer than I have. I wish we could have more time together but I guess we wouldn't value the time and memories we had as much if we had more time. From main characters, we now become recurring characters or special guest stars in each others lives, but I hope that that our roles in each others lives won't change. Knowing how we love batch bondings though, I'm positive that we'll see each other often. Although, the last batch bonding was sort of a fail since barely one-fourth of the batch came. Oh well, we'll just have more of that I guess. Anywho, this letter is getting long so I'll end it with another paragraph. I'm kidding. It's been real, Batch 2016. I'm happy to have slayed high school with you guys. I can't wait to see how we'll all slay college. God bless, friends!

Until Next Time!
